表面麻酔剤ベノキシール・ゼリーの泌尿器科領域における使用経験

Abstract

This paper deals with clinical evaluations of a use of B enoxyl Jelly for anesthetizing the urethra or bladder for such urological instrumentations as urethral bouginage, cystoscopy or ureteric catheterization. Twenty ml of B enoxyl Jelly, which contains 0.2% Benoxinate Hydrochloride (Novesine) and 1.6% Methylcellulose, was applied to the male patient and 10 ml of that to the female. There was an interval of roughly 10 minutes between application of the anesthetic and commencement of the above mentioned operations. In short, Benoxyl Jelly gave sa t isfactory results in almost all cases out of a total of 54 as regards to speeds of action, depth and duration of urethral or vesical anesthesia. Moreover, no signs of local or general intolerance were encountered.
