Abstract: Clinical studies were conducted on a new contrast medium, Sodium iothalamate (Conray•400). The results obtained are summarized as follows. 1) The contrast was visualized with satisfaction in all of 37 patients in which intravenous pyelography ,was performed. 2) Intravenous injection of this medium was easier than Diatrizoate-76 and there was no much difference in viscosity between Conray and Conray-400. 3) No serious side effect was noted. These results suggested that Conray-400 is an excellent contrast medium for the study of the urinary tract.
