| dc.description.abstract | A 35-year-old man noticed a mass in the left scrotum 8 months prior to visit. Palpation detected an elastic hard, non-tender tumor with a smooth, sharp border in the upper scrotum which was distinguishable from the testis. A left inguinal orchiectomy was done. A well circumscribed tumor, 3×4×5 cm in size, virtually replaced the epididymis. Pathohistological study demonstrated pure seminoma arising from the epididymal region and there was no infiltration to the testis, several sections of which failing to show seminomatous involvement. We believe this case is the 4th report in the Japanese literature. | en |
