遠隔転移を有する腎細胞癌(stage 4)の治療

Abstract

Of the 47 patients with renal cell carcinoma treated at our department from January 1970 through December 1979, 19 patients who had distant metastasis were reviewed and discussed herein. The prognosis was poor regardless of the mode of therapy used, but our results showed that the mean survival period of9 patients who had nephrectomy was 12.1 months, whereas that of 10 patients without nephrectomy was 5.1 months, and that patients with bone metastasis survived longer than the patients with metastatis to other sites. There were no objective responses to any of the various modes of chemotherapy and hormonal therapy.
