| dc.description.abstract | Forty seven patients with genitourinary tumors were treated with cis-diamminedichloroplatinum(II) (CDDP) alone or in combination with other drugs. The effectiveness of the treatment was evaluated for 42 patients (15 patients with stage II-III non-seminomatous testicular tumors, 3 patients with stage III seminomas, 15 patients with stage D bladder carcinomas, 6 patients with stage D prostatic carcinomas and 3 patients with carcinomas of renal pelvis or ureter). Thirteen patients with testicular tumors who were treated with CDDP, bleomycin, vinblastine showed complete or partial response rate of 53.8%. Patients with testicular tumor treated with CDDP alone showed complete or partial responses in 4 of 5. Patients with bladder carcinomas who were treated with systemic administration of CDDP alone or in combination with other drugs showed a complete response in 1 of 7 and a complete response in 2 and a partial response in 5 out of 8 who were treated with arterial infusion of the drugs. Arterial infusion with the drugs underwent for 6 patients with prostatic carcinomas and 3 patients showed partial responses. Side effects of CDDP were also discussed. | en |
