| 抄録: | The effect of compressibility on the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability of the magnetopause is investigated, making use of the usual MHD equations. Unstable domains are obtained with respect to Mach number and the quantity the sound speed divided by the Alfven speed, to the second power. It is found that as the ratio of the sound speed to the Alfven speed becomes larger, the unstable domains tend to become wider, and overstability domains appear. |
