抄録: The technique of drawing blood for native people in Soroba was more difficult than usual due to easy collapse of vein and pig-oil painted skin, especially in naked men with only penis case. The reason for easy-collapsing vein was supposed to be due to hyponutrition and chronic dehydration in the native soroba people related with their daily life style. They were always naked except penis case in men and waist cape in women resulting in chronic dehydration. They painted pig oil on their whole skin and seldom washed their body. Their daily foods were mainly potatoes and rarely vegetables and pig flesh with little water. Their lifestyle and related biological condition is supposed to be an important factor for difficulty in drawing blood.
