西部昆崙山脈の地形と氷河

Abstract

200年7月22日から8月19日まで西部昆嵐山脈の無名峰6232mと6468mの登山活動で現地に滞在した折り, 地形と氷河を観察した. これらのいくつかの事例を紹介して, これらから読み取れる環境, 環境変化について若干の考察を行なった.

From July 22 to August 19, 2007, we went to the western part of the Kunlun Mountains, China, with the aim of the first ascent of an unnamed 6232 m peak among other climbing activities. I observed several interesting landforms as well as glaciers during this trip and climbing activities, of which I described. I discussed and deduced their implications for the environment and environmental changes. The traveled courses are (1) Kashgar to Tashkorgan and (2) Yechen to Daihonliutan and beyond to Aksaichin Lake. Landforms discussed include (1) general, (2) alluvial fans and uplifts, (3) lacustrine sediments, (4) eolian deposits, (5) sand dunes, (6) periglacial slopes, (7) solifluction lobes and step topography, (8) hills lope form of the Kunlun Mountains, (9) rock glaciers, and (10) patterned ground. Many glaciers in the area were found to be polythermal (subpoler) type, rather than temperate ones. Also presented is a chart of air temperatures observed during the climbing activities August 1-9, 2007, which were related to activities in the field.
