昆崙山脈西部の山旅「6232m峰 & 6468m峰初登頂」: 2007年7～8月の記録

Abstract

2004 年9月-10月の偵察山行, そして2005年7月-8月のユメムスターグ -6345m峰- 初登頂に続く, 3度目の昆崙山脈西部地域の訪問となった. 高所順応の一環として, カシュガルを起点(若しくは終点)とするカラコルム・ハイウェイ(1980年にイスラマバードまで1260km全通)を285km走行し, 途中ゲーズ峡谷・カラクリ湖畔を通りスパシ峠で順応歩行を行い, 三度, パミール山中の要衝・タシュクルガンに入った. パキスタン国境のフンジェラブ峠(4730m, Khujerab Pass) に立つことは出来なかったが, 大谷光瑞一行が目にした情景ときして変わらぬであろう「石頭城の遺址」に立ち, 小さな町なかを散策した. 再びカシュガルに戻り, イエンギサル, ヤルカンド, イエチェンという民族の興亡を目の当たりにしてきた街並みを通り, カラコルム峠(5570m, Karakorum Pass)への道を走行し, 別れて目指す山域に向かった. いつの日か, カラコルム峠を越えてインダス河畔のLEHに向かえる日々の到来を祈りたい.

Members of AACK (Academic Alpine Club of Kyoto) have succeeded to reach the peak of 6232m by 5 and 6468m by 3 in the western part of Kunlun Mountains, Xinjiang Uygur, China, in August 2007. In 2005, 4 members of AACK reached the peak of 6345m and they had another target in this area. Two of them and 3 new members had been planning to visit this area for 2 years and realized in July - August 2007. We succeeded to reach the two peaks which were the first ascent by the members who were over 60 years old. The reason we succeeded were as follows; mainly (1) to continue physical training many years in Japan and (2) to be able to acclimatize for height about 10 days there. We took the equipment to measure SpO2 (Peripheral Blood Oxygen Saturation) and piled up the records of 5 members respectively 2 times a day. It may be very valuable record for any person who intends to go to such higher area to check-up the acclimatization for height.
