室内空間における木材率及び広さがイメージに与える影響 : ログハウスのロフトにおける実験

Abstract

室内空間のイメージにおける木材の果たす視覚的効果を明らかにするため、実際のモデルハウスを用いてアンケート調査を行い検討した。まず、木目調の間仕切りと和紙の間仕切りの比較においては、木目調の間仕切りの方が「あたたかい」「ひきしまった」「圧迫感がある」イメージを与える傾向がみられた。さらに、木目調の壁は和紙の壁に比べ、部屋が広ければ「快い」「爽快な」感じを与え、部屋が狭ければ「不快な」「息苦しい」感じを与えた。窓のない部屋は、窓のある部屋に比べ、「あたたかい」「伝統的な」「圧迫感がある」「息苦しい」「小さい」「不快な」といったイメージを与えた。これには部屋の照度も大きく関係しているものと考えられる。

To investigate the effect of wood ratio on psychological images of interior space, questionnaires using actual 9～11m[2] spaces in a loft of a log-house were carried out. The following results were observed : (1) A partition wall covered with printed wood grain pattern gave "warmer" and "tighter" images than that covered with light gray Japanese paper. (2) When the area of the space increased more than 10m[2], the space with wood grain partition becomes more "comfortable", "pleasant" and "refreshed" with increase of the floor area. On the contrary, in the spaces that were less than 10m[2] in area, subjects were apt to feel "unpleasant" and "close". In a space, like inside a house made of logs, where man sees grain of wood, a certain large area of space is necessary to feel comfortable. (3) Spaces without a skylight gave "warmer", "smaller", more "traditional", "oppressive", "closed", and "unpleasant" images than those with a skylight. These images were thought to have something to do with illuminance of the space. (4) In general, the higher the wood ratio becomes in the spaces, the "warmer" and "tighter" subjects tend to feel.
