多地域間産業連関 (MRIO) モデルを用いたエンボディド・カーボンとエンボディド・エネルギーの推計

Abstract

本稿では、国際貿易分析プロジェクト (Global Trade Analysis Project : GTAP) の最新のデータ等から多地域間産業連関モデル (multi-regional input-output model : MRIO model) を構築し、世界の貿易ネットワークに体化したエンボディド・カーボンとエンボディド・エネルギーのフローの推計を行う。その際、先行研究と異なり、エンボディド・カーボンとエンボディド・エネルギーの相互の関係性、さらには、一次エネルギーの種類ごとのエンボディド・エネルギーどうしの関係やエンボディド・カーボンとの関係など、横断的な比較に分析の力点を置く。推計の結果、CO_2排出量が少ない国の一部が、化石燃料由来や原子力由来のエンボディド・エネルギーという形で、国外で多くの環境負荷を生み出していること、さらに、再生可能エネルギー由来の発電量が多い国の一部が、エンボディド・カーボンや化石燃料・原子力由来のエンボディド・エネルギーという形で、国外で多くの環境負荷を生み出していることが分かった。

This paper estimates the flows of carbon and energy embodied in the world trade network by constructing a multi-regional input-output model (MRIO) model from the latest dataset of the Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP). We focus on the mutual relationships between embodied carbon and embodied energy form various energy sources in each country rather than limiting analysis on carbon or energy alone. We found some of the countries with fewer CO_2 emission or the countries generating more electricity from renewable energy shift greater environmental impact on the rest of the world in the from of embodied energy originated from fossil fuels or nuclear power.
