Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hosptial 実習報告 : Jo ge Bhutan!

Abstract

2014年8月30日～9 月14日にかけて京都大学学生11名、職員3名の計14名が、ブータン東部を訪問した。タシガン県に立地するブータン王立大学シェラブツェ校(カレッジ)でブータンの歴史、ディグラム・ナムザ(ブータンの礼)、踊りの授業を受けた後、4 名のシェラブツェ・カレッジ学生と共に畑作地帯カリン及び水田地帯ラディにおいて、臨地研修、体験学習を行った。役場、農業・畜産・森林普及センター、保健所、寺院などを訪問した他、現地の家々を訪ね、村人から話を聞いた。標高約900 ～ 3800 m までの範囲を移動する中で、気候・植生・生業形態のダイナミックな変化に直に触れ、農村で進行する過疎、医療の現状、現地に伝わる女神アマジョモ、男神ダンリン、僧侶ギャルセ・ガナパティなどの話に耳を傾けた。復路にはシェラブツェ校を再訪し、京都大学学生が朝の学生集会で臨地研修の成果について発表し、スタディー・ツアーである臨地研修・体験学習に参加した京都大学とシェラブツェ・カレッジ学生とのワークショップを行った。両大学の学生の相互理解を深めるために発表とワークショップは英語で実施された。特に、臨地研修・体験学習による共同生活を通じて両大学の学生は交流を深めた。本報告は、このスタディー・ツアーで各個人が出会ったもっとも印象に残った事実とその理由をもとに参加した感想を綴ってもらった記録集である。スタディー・ツアーは実践型地域研究が目指している相互啓発による参加型地域研究の一つの試みでもある。また、研究者とは異なる京都大学の学生という「当事者的視点」からのシェラブッチェ校の教育、学生との数日の生活から垣間見ることができた文化や宗教などの地域の伝統文化に対するブータンの若者の考え方や接し方などに関する日本との比較論としても読むことができるユニークな相互啓発実践型地域研究の報告書となっている。報告書の各編は以下のとおりである。はじめに：国際交流科目「ブータンの農村に学ぶ発展のあり方」の背景と目的及び本報告の意義(安藤和雄)、世界一幸福な国であり続けるために(木下広大)、ブータンにおける二週間のフィールドワークで感じたこと(高島菜芭)、今までの、そしてこれからのブータン(高浜拓也)、ブータンと日本を比べて(福田 睦)、私とブータンの旅(宮本明徳)、ブータンの自然と宗教(諏訪雄一)、秘境を訪れて(長澤勇貴)、ブータンの離農・離村問題について(森田椋也)、自分と向き合う16日間(栁原志穂)、ブータンへの初渡航(酒井 肇)、ブータンの農村における過疎と景観への影響(谷悠一郎)、おわりに：自然の教材に触れて、生活を共にする(石本恭子)、ブータンを体感する科目を(坂本龍太)

Eleven students and three faculty members of Kyoto University visited Trashigang District of the eastern Bhutan from Augsut 30 to September 14, 2014. They participated in the classes of history, Driglam Namzhag (Bhutanese Etiquette), and dance at Sherubtse College, located in Trashigang District. The Kyoto university students with the four Sherubtse college students together conducted field studies in the villages of the up-land crop fields in Khaling Gewog, and the villages of the rice fields in Radi Gewog. They visited farmers’ houses and the several local institutions such as Trashigang Dzong & Gewog offices (government offices), Renewable Natural Resources Extension Centers (RNR-ECs), Basic Health Units (BHUs), and Lhakhangs & Gompas (temples). Throughout the study tour, dynamic changes of climates, vegetation, and livelihood were observed in the altitude range about 900 – 3800 m. They listened to the stories from the villagers about depopulation, health care system, Ama Jomo & Meme Dangling (local deities), Gyalse Ganapaty (who is believed to be the first reincarnation of Jampel Dorji, the son of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel), and so on. After the study tour in Khaling and Radi, they delivered a speech at the morning assembly and held a workshop among the study tour participants including four Sherubtse college students, at Sherubtse College. The speech and workshop were conducted in English for stimulating the mutual understanding between the Kyoto University students and the Sherubtse College students. They fostered friendships by sharing the experience of the filed study particularly. This report is the record to show the impressions and comments which the participants in the study tour in Bhutan obtained on the basis of the facts. This study tour is a trial of Mutual-enlightening Participatory Area Studies, which the Practice-oriented Area Studies have been aiming for. objecting. The reports written by the students become a result of Mutual-enlightening Practice-oriented Area Studies by a unique comparative study on thinkingway and behavior of Bhutanese young people about the area traditional culture such as culture and religion through communication with the Sherabtse college students by sharing consciousness of" a person concerned" as a university student.
