ブータンで半年間勤務した日本人産婦人科医師からのレター

Abstract

今回、京都大学医学部附属病院ブータン派遣団第三陣の医師・看護師の方々と共に京都大学医学部生として初めてジグメ・ドルジ・ワンチュク国立病院(Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hosptial、以下JDWNRH と略記)で病棟実習を行ったのでここに報告する。 初めてブータンにおける病棟実習を経験し、今後のブータン王国と京都大学の学生間交流の参考となるよう、ブータンの医療システムや病棟のシステムなどについて概論した上で一部のトピックについては少し掘り下げて報告したい。

This is the first report from a medical student, Kyoto university. I had a chance to work as student doctor from Kyoto university in Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital for the first time as a member of the third delegation from Kyoto university hospital to Bhutan. I studied at surgical ward, endoscopy room, maternal ward and pediatric ward. I report about brief overviews of these departments, medical charts, environment in hospital and so on. Bhutanese doctors studied at other countries and come back to work very hard for Bhutanese patients although equipments and machines are not up to date. This year they made it possible for senior residents to gain on-the-job training of some departments in Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Referral Hospital and so senior doctors are eager to educate them and make them much better, that is, professional. I recommend you to learn what is the Bhutanese standard and take an actual look at what are Bhutanese doctors - Let’s go to Bhutan! You know, I mean" Jo ge Bhutan!
