<論文>"ズー"になる --ドイツにおける動物性愛者たちによるセクシュアリティの選択

Abstract

本論文の目的は、ドイツにおける動物性愛者への調査に基づいて、動物性愛というセクシュアリティがもたらす、人間と動物のセックスを含めた種間関係のあり方を考察するものである。その際に本論文で焦点を当てるのは、動物性愛を意図的に選択し、自ら動物性愛者になっていく人々である。このような人々の存在について、これまで他領域を含む先行研究では言及されてこなかった。動物性愛というセクシュアリティを選び取る人々について学術的な言説のなかで言及するのは本論文が初めてである。本論文では彼らの実態を紹介し、事例を踏まえてダナ・ハラウェイによる伴侶種概念と比較検討しつつ、伴侶種を論じる際のセクシュアリティに対する視点の必要性を指摘する。動物性愛を選択する人々がいる事実は、動物性愛というセクシュアリティを生来的なものではなく、身近な動物との共生のためのオルタナティブな方法として受け入れうるものと説明できる可能性がある。本論文では、このような人々の事例をもとに、セクシュアリティの選択と、その結果としてもたらされる、異種間関係および人間関係の変容について論じる。

This paper aims to clarify how trans-species relationships between zoophiles and their animal partners are constructed and how inter-species relationships affect people, based on qualitative research on zoophiles in Germany. During the research, I met with people who choose to be zoophiles in order to realize their best possible relationships with their dog partners, and whose opinions and actions stem from a viewpoint of animal-care. The research participants in this paper became zoophiles after learning of the concept of zoophilia through their close friends' coming out as zoophiles. They undergo processes of understanding and acceptance of this sexuality, and subsequently, decided to become zoophiles themselves. In this paper I focus on people who became zoophiles in Germany, as such people may help to explain the emergence of zoophilia as an ideology which can gain acceptance by others. I describe zoophiles' real lives comparing their relationships with their animal partners to the concept of the "Companion Species" by Donna Haraway. I argue that Haraway's conceptualization maintains species asymmetry because of her ignorance of companion species' sexuality. Furthermore, I argue about the need for consideration of animals' sexuality especially in discussions of human co-existence with animals.
