<論文>二次創作コミュニティにおける「愛」をめぐる闘争と調停

Abstract

本稿は、腐女子と呼ばれる男性同性愛フィクションを嗜好する少女・女性の二次創作活動とメディア利用を対象とし、彼女たちがどのようにコミュニティを形成し維持しているのかについて、作品やキャラクタへの「愛」という不可視で不可量なものを議論の導きの糸として明らかにすることを目的としている。二次創作コミュニティは、二次創作者らの原作に対する「愛」によって形成されている。しかし、原作に対する解釈は個人によって異なっており、「愛」をめぐってコンフリクトが発生する。本稿では、このコミュニティ内で発生したコンフリクトが、2種類の対応によって調停されることが明らかとなった。1つ目は、二次創作者が言行一致の姿勢を取っている/いない、原作のキャラクタや設定から逸脱し過ぎている/いないなどの基準によって、原作に対する「愛」の具体化である二次創作作品を評価し、「愛」がないと判断した場合、コミュニティのソトに押しやり、原作への「愛」を持つ者同士のコミュニティを維持しようとする。2つ目は、過度な性描写や暴力表現などが盛り込まれた二次創作作品であっても、肯定的なコメントを送ったり、無視をして評価を行わないことで、メンバ間の衝突を回避し、コミュニティを維持しようとする、という調停である。

The target of this research is "Fujoshi": the girls and women who love gay fiction and imaginative stories, and who may publish their own imaginative fanfiction. The purpose of this research is to clarify how people form and maintain relationships with those who have different values from their own. As a result of the investigation, it became clear that the community is created out of "love" for the original stories upon which the fanfiction is based. Members of the community fight for "love", or try to gain recognition within the community. However, the way "love" for the original story is expressed differs among individuals, and this may lead to conflict between community members, and even the breaking apart of the community. In the course of conducting this research, it became clear that conflicts are mediated by two types of correspondence. First, members evaluate fanfiction in terms of how it reflects "love" for the original story, and if it is judged that a member did not "truly" love the original story, that member is ejected from the community. In this way, a community that consists only of people with "genuine" love for the stories is maintained. Second, even if a member's published fanfiction includes an excessive amount of descriptions of sex and violence, the member is not rejected from the community. In addition, other members send positive comments to the author or disregard such descriptions and do not evaluate the member's fanfiction. In other words, members are accepted regardless of how their "love" is expressed, thus minimizing conflict among members and preserving the community.
