| 抄録: | This essay explores the importance of having one's voice in a diversity of individuals' tastes, with references to Cavell's view of voice through the film Stella Dallas. I will focus on two characteristics of voice, 'pain' and 'acknowledgement', which are deeply concerned to sympathy. It is impossible for us to precisely understand each other, but we have also intellect to acknowledge one another. |
