黒沢清『叫』とJホラーの歴史

Abstract

この論文は, 黒沢清監督の映画『叫』(2006年)をJホラーという歴史的文脈に位置づけて分析する. Jホラーとは, 一般に1990年代から2000年代にかけて流行した日本のホラー映画を指す. 著名な作品としては, 『リング』(中田秀夫監督, 1998年)や『呪怨』(清水崇監督, 2003年)が挙げられる. 黒沢は, 小中千昭や高橋洋らと並ぶJホラーの中心人物である. 黒沢清の『叫』は「赤い服を着た女性」が重要人物として登場するという点において, 鶴田法男監督の「たたり」(1999年)という短編作品の系譜につらなる. 「たたり」は, 従来の研究で見落とされてきた作品である. 本稿では, 「たたり」を参照することによって『叫』のJホラー史における意義を再評価する.

This paper analyzes Retribution (2006) directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa by putting it in the historical context of J-horror. In general, J-horror refers to Japanese horror films that became popular from the 1990's to 2000's. There are famous films like Ringu (1998) directed by Hideo Nakata and Ju-On : The Grudge (2003) directed by Takashi Shimizu. Kurosawa is a leading figure of J-horror along with Chiaki Konaka and Hiroshi Takahashi. Kurosawa's Retribution constructs a genealogy traced to a short film Tatari (1999) directed by Norio Tsuruta because they have "woman dressed in red" as an important character in common. Tatari is the film that has been overlooked in previous studies. Therefore, this paper re-evaluates the significance of Retribution within the history-of J-horror by referring to Tatari.
