汎用的学習理論 (証明と計算の理論と応用)

Abstract

Solomonoffに始まる万能推論の理論は，学習に関していくつかの示唆を与える．しかし，予測関数が計算不可能であるため，実装可能な予測アルゴリズムについて語ることは簡単ではない．ここに，汎用性という概念を尊入することで，計算可能な予測関数について語れるようになる．本稿では，この枠組の可能性と展望についてまとめる．

The theory of universal induction initiated by Solomonoff provides some insight into learning. However, because of the noncomputability of the prediction function, it is not easy to talk about implementable prediction algorithms. We introduce the notion of generality to talk about computable prediction functions. This note surveys the possibilities and prospects of this framework.
