Abstract: | The optimal machining speeds to be utilized on the multiple stages of a flow-type automated manufacturing system were analyzed to achieve the maximum profit. Based on the analytical results, the optimizing algorithm was developed to determine the optimal machining speeds on the multiple stages of the manufacturing system. A numerical example was given to show the effectiveness of the algorithm. |
