日本における新型コロナ感染症下でのソーシャル・キャピタルに関する調査研究

Abstract

本調査研究は、日本におけるソーシャル・キャピタルの動向を解明するために、2022年1月に実施されたアンケート調査を取りまとめたものである。ネットワーク、信頼、市民社会参画を主たる内容としてソーシャル・キャピタルの現状を明らかにするために4171名へのWEBアンケートを実施し、信頼の低下、とくに特定化信頼の低下は止まっていないこと、社会におけるつきあいが希薄化していることを明らかにしている。とりわけ、新型コロナ感染症が、人間行動の変容において、つきあい、信頼の希薄化を促していることも明らかになる。市民参加もまた感染症の影響を免れず、参加率が低く、市民の影響力に限界を感じている。また、本調査では、世代間、階層間でのソーシャル・キャピタルの相違、制度に対する満足度も検討されている。

This paper summarizes the survey results on social capital trends in Japan conducted in January 2022. The purpose of the survey is to analyze the current situation of social capital in Japan through detailed investigation of Japan’s social networks, social trust, and civic engagement. Through the online survey of 4, 171 respondents, we confirmed that social trust, specifically particularized trust, in the Japanese society has been steadily declining and social interactions have become less frequent. In particular, the COVID-19 pandemic had a strong impact on further weakening of social interactions and social trust. Civic engagement is also not immune to the effects of COVID-19, with low participation rates and limited civic influence. In addition, the survey also highlights the differences in social capital utilized by different generations and social groups as well as assesses the level of their satisfaction with different social institutions.
