Deformations of 𝑆₁ singularities (Extension of the Singularity theory)

Abstract

For a one parameter deformation of the the 𝑆₁ singularity, we give a form using only isometric map of the target. Using this form, we study differential geometric properties of 𝑆₁ singularities and the Whitney umbrellas appearing in the deformation. This note is an addition to the author's talk given in the RIMS workshop “Extension of the Singularity theory” which is held from November 27th to 29th, 2023.
