dc.description.abstractQuantitative/statistical analysis in psychological means was applied to the study of the educational system. In this paper, the school councilor system was taken up for the purpose of trying the method. The method, which is uncommon in this area of study, yielded results of three kinds. First is the suggested causal model that describes the way in which management conditions affect the school councilor's intrinsic motivation. Factor analysis and regression analysis were carried out to explore the causal structure. This model can be used and could be refined as a practical tool for managerial purposes. Second are the two problems that must be solved in the management of the system. One is the councilors' bias about the actual situations the schools are in. It can be suspected while they don't know the actual situation, they feel they know. Another is the role giving to the councilor by the school. What is important is to give role to them and not to distinguish the role from other agents. Third is the validity of the method in the area of study. It enables us to obtain new findings because it has two unique points of view. One is the focus on how the relation between the cause and the result is stable. Another is the focus on the agent who participates in the system. These two points can provide us with a wider view and they will deepen the insight in the study of the educational system.en
