dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to make clear the teaching-learning process of university class through the participant observation in a variety of university classes. I, as a participant observer, observed 38 classes in Kyoto University. By the content analysis of 38 observation sheets which are made by participant observer 22 categories are got under the 9 themes. These categories contribute to describe the differences and commonnesses among a variety of university classes. At the end of each class students are asked to write reflection sheet on their experience of the classroom. We get 26 categories by the content analysis of reflection sheets written by students. These categories contribute to describe the learning quality and attitude of students. By comparing the results of content analysis of observation sheets with the results of content analysis of reflection sheets we find some class correspondences between teaching and learning, and also find some class discrepancies between them.en
