抄録: 1) In Kyoto University Research Center for Higher Education, we have engaged in various FD-projects, trying to keep proper balance between the contrastive two FD models, the enlightening one and the collaborative one. 2) In Japanese universities nowadays, various FD-projects are organized rapidly and widely to cope with the administrative crisis brought by gradual decrease in the number of youth population. We can classify these FD-projects into four models along two axes. One axis means the "enlightening/collaborative" and the other means the "self-organized/institutionalized". Therefore, we can enumerate these comparted four models the enlightening/self-organized one, the enlightening/institutionalized one, the collaborative/self-organized one, and the collaborative/institutionalized one. 3) Through the rapid and wide development of the FD-project in Japanese universities, main trend has been shifted slowly but steadily from the enlightening/institutionalized model toward the colaborative/self-organaized one. In this trend, proper balance between these two contrastive FD models should be kept in every project, as we have tried in Kyoto University Research Center for Higher Education. 4) Through facilitating the shift from the enlightening FD-projects into the colaborative FD-projects, the theory of education would be able to cure its constitutional morbidity as an instrument for the enlightenment.
