抄録: In the present era of Student Consumerism, most university students in Japan have become passive consumers of educational services. This paper discusses how we can support active learning processes, especially in lectures in universities. In 2003, Onohara tried a new method in his lecture "Ethics of War and Peace" at Fukushima University and Iwasaki supported his attempt from her standpoint as a lesson researcher. Onohara developed "Worksheets" with two functions, a preparative-prospective, and a reviewing-retrospective. We call the "Worksheets" which have the former function "Thinking-Worksheets" and the latter "Reflective-Worksheets". First, Onohara reports his new method and its aim and how he attempted to support students' active learning with his "Worksheets". Then in the "Analysis by an Observer", Iwasaki analyses Onohara's new method and through an interview with him inquires as to why he decided to change his lecturing style.
