抄録: | This paper highlights the features of video-mediated communication and learning in a distance education in university. The class used for the practice research was "KNV", a discussion-type distance class. When the quality of participation in discussions in this practice was examined, two categories of discussion were seen : an "Friendly or Complicated" discussion, and a "Deep or Shallow" discussion. The "Complicated" or "Shallow" discussion was not necessarily negative, and "Friendly" or "Deep" discussion was not the only affirmative. Learning can take various forms, such as reflection and reconstruction about communications, interpersonal relationships, ideal ways of current educational practice, and feelings of how discussions were achieved. These various forms are greatly affected by the different culture of KNV, somewhat affected by leading intervention of the teaching staff, as well as the class design related to the types of students participating. It was found that such learning is meaningful as a learning tool in university, especially concerning self formation. |
