dc.description.abstract | Forchheiiner's law is belived to be applicable to the seepage flow beyoud the appli-cability of Darcy's law. The seepage flow around a sheet pile in a river has been studiedexperimentally and theoretically.In this study, the fundamental equation for the flow has been derived using Forch-heimer's law, and solved numerically by using the technique of finite difference tocompare with the solution of Laplace's equation derived using Darcy's law. It wasdisclosed that the former can explane well the experimental results but the latter hasfairly difference with those. | en |
