dc.description.abstractThis paper deals with the polynomial approximations of a stress-strain relationship of sand andthe method for estimations of nonlinear wave form in such material. The non-linear constitutiveequation for a mixture of two continua composed from hyperelastic material and hyperelasticfluid are deduced. Expanding the strain energy of this mixture into generalized Taylor's seriesin the strain invatiants of two phase, the polinomial expressions of constitutive equation are obtain-ed. Using the draind and undrained triaxial compression test data for sand which is excuted by65-eonstant or o0, -constant state, the relationships between the coefficients of these expandingterm, initial void ratio and the value of a5 or a, , , are obtained. Moreover the stress-strain ap-proximation for a5-constant test condition is applied to the problem of nonlinear wave propagation.en
