Abstract: The inversion method to retrieve temperature profiles from microwave radiometric observa-tions is examined. Three methods (iterative, library, Brent method) are tested. It is pointed thatthe information about inflection points of temperature profiles is very important for the inversion.The acoustic sounder will give this information to us.
