阪神・淡路大震災の災害廃棄物-その1 震災発生後2ヶ月までの調査結果-

Abstract

A great disaster results in a large amount of waste frequently. The defference of the waste depend on kinds, places and times of the disaster.From the 1995 Southern Hyogo Prefecture Earthquake, each city of Hanshin and Awaji regions suffered mass-produced waste, especially the most damaged Kobe city where were mixed up with old wooden houses and modern buildings.Accordingly, the waste of Kobe was composed of collapsed wooden houses, destroyed buildings, including chips of wood, brick and metal, and blocks of concrete.There are no rational technical and social system for waste treatments such as scrappings, transportation and disposal up to date in Japan.Under such a condition, for the purpose of referring to make the rational system, a process of the waste disposal is reported in this paper for two months after the earthquake.
