抄録: | This paper explores the formation of client's narrative stories in psychotherapy with knowledge of <historia> which means a client's narrative history and stories in Latin. It is crucial to understand his /her narrative stories and not-yet spoken stories through his/her <historia> in multigenerational context. Sometimes clinicians discover the meaning of illness and symptoms in his/her not-yet spoken stories. A story refers to an identified role that family members take on individually or collectively, subconsciously, or consciously, and that is transmitted from generation to generation. A story represents the way in which the family appears to its members and is a part of the inner image of the individual and group—an image that all family members contribute to and attempt to preserve. A family story has both positive and negative aspects in terms of the formation of the self. Therefore, understanding a client's <historia>is crucial in order to understand clients comprehensively and to promote creating their own narrative stories in psychotherapy. A genogram helps a clinician understand the formation of their client's narrative stories in the multigenerational context. |
