抄録: | This paper deals with the education of Finnish teachers by which I can refer to as an example of supporting teachers' professional development. I explore the theory of pedagogical thinking of teachers as presented by Pertti Kansanen, a professor emeritus at Helsinki University in Finland, to learn about the theoretical landscapes of educating Finnish teachers. Finnish teacher education is often characterized as "research-based teacher education" as Kansanen terms it, who also says that the object of the research-based education is to develop teachers' pedagogical thinking. At the highest level of this thinking, teachers can make their own educational theory with research methods and they are not controlled by authorities. To secure teachers' autonomy, teachers acquire research capacity through research-based teacher education programs and can thus reach the highest level of teachers' pedagogical thinking. |
