抄録: | The purpose of this paper is to clarify how academic achievements required in subjects of general education of “Professional Baccalaureate” are promoted by lessons in professional courses in high school. Professional Baccalaureate is a certifying examination that confers the completion of secondary education and the qualification for university admission. Successful candidates can be basically admitted to enter any university. I began by revealing the organization and framework of evaluation in Professional Baccalaureate. Examination questions composed mainly of writing are common nationwide, chiefly corrected by high school teachers. I then examined what kinds of academic achievements are demanded in the questions about history of Professional Baccalaureate. I found that candidates must select information from documents, relate it to knowledge determined in the national curriculum and express them logically in composition. I next analyzed a history lesson in a professional high school course. To form this ability, students retrieved information from documents, related it to knowledge, and created a composition. Through these investigations, I pointed out that academic achievements requested in subjects of general education of Professional Baccalaureate may be raised by making students grapple with intellectual operations homogeneous with Professional Baccalaureate. |
