抄録: | Adaptation Classes are the classes prepared for school-truant students. When we think about school truant, we can find there is a structure of exclusion in school truant. And, the chief function of the Adaptation Classes are said to be a place to stay in peace for those who was excluded. It is the reason why school-truant students can go to Adaptation Classes and they have meanings both from the stand point of education and clinical psychology. This role of Adaptation Classes is similar to that of asylum, which has existed as a shelter or peace place where people are able to be free from their guilt and debt owing. Asylum is a sanctuary and a place where transformation happens because it is in the boundary areas where people can meet others, spirits and also themselves. Adaptation Classes are also boundary areas between schools and houses and has such role that students meet other students and staffs and themselves. Thus, Adaptation Classes exist as a kind of today’s asylum and they can be place to stay in peace for school-truant students and have clinical psychological meanings. |
