The present study aims to consider the feeling that one does not have "Ibasho"(a place where one can be) : what is the essential meaning of the situation that one does not have "Ibasho"? This subject was discussed with reference to embodiment. It was clarified that when one feels that one does not have "Ibasho, " one's body exists in space, whereas one's consciousness as "I" feels that it cannot stay there. That is, there is a conflict between one's "existing" as a body and "being" as "I, " and this conflict is critical for one's existence. Moreover, the situation that one cannot have Ibasho without others was also discussed about. To have "Ibasho" without others, it is necessary to acquire the "Capacity to be Alone."en
