心的作業としての「定位」について -インタビューと風景構成法による一考察-

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the comprehensive process of psychological "localization" and also to consider its individuality. "Localization" is defined so as to set a stable position for oneself in the world of each individual. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and the landscape montage technique by fifteen subjects consisting of men and women. Their reports were analyzed through the modified grounded theory approach. The processes could be divided into four large categories, which are "to position oneself in the relationship with time, " "to keep one's own core belief, " "to make sure of the supporting points, " and "to open to the outside." An examination of these categories showed two movements "localization" in parallel. One is where "to keep one's own core belief, " "to make sure of the supporting points, " and "to open to the outside" spread further to the outside concentrically, and the other is "to position oneself in the relationship with time, " which is depicted as movement along the axis of time. Moreover, by adding further analysis of the landscape montage technique, it shows that the individuality of "localization" is indicated by the diversity influenced by the personality and characteristics of each. To shape the actual process of "localization, " which has deep involvement of individual factors, future studies must take a cross-cutting and longitudinal viewpoint.
