抄録: | This paper attempts to examine Kimura Motomori's thoughts on the aesthetic phase of live from the perspective of human transformation. Kimura started his study with the aesthetic theories of German idealism, and turned to the philosophy of education on the recommendation of Nishida Kitarô. Under the mutual effects on each idea of the Kyoto School, aesthetics or "love of beauty" became the core of his thoughts. Therefore, when we follow his theory, we find that in his thought the concept of beauty is deepened until it penetrates the very basis of our lives, and is not merely pleasure or diversion. This paper argues that the key point of the depth of the concept of beauty is the relationship between the notion of the "ideal" and the well-known concept of "absolute nothingness" of the Kyoto School. The overlap between these two concepts helps us understand the flow of fundamental creativity that acts in our everyday bodily movements and engages things with "disinterestedness" and non-conceptuality. In this paper we examine the point that while we act for the purposes of our ends, simultaneously, we also dwell within an original creative dimension, which is beyond our intentions. This shows that our bodily expressions realize the theory of aesthetic self-making, under the influences of shared existence and mutual transformation in everyday life. |
