専門職養成におけるプロボノ活動の導入と実践評価－カーディフロースクールの事例から－

Abstract

本稿は、専門職養成においてプロボノ活動がどのように導入され、教育効果を高めるために教育者が実践評価をどのように活用しているのかを明らかにし、専門的な知識、技術、態度の育成における課題と可能性を検討することを目的とする。プロボノ活動とは、自身の専門性を活用して社会問題の解決にボランタリーに取組む社会貢献活動を指す。カーディフロースクールでは、プロボノ部局を設けてイノセンスプロジェクトなどの独自の活動を組織し、学生に経験を通して学ぶ機会を提供している。プロボノ活動に関する振り返りを実施させ、自己啓発及び職業的発達の証明書を発行することで、エンプロイアビリティを高めることも行なっている。社会正義実現を目指すプロボノ活動について、知識、技術、態度の育成の観点からいかに効果的な実践評価を行なうことが可能かを検討する。This paper explores the assessment of pro bono activities in profession education. It represents a social contribution activity that takes advantage of the expertise of professionals. It has challenges and potential in the development of expert knowledge, skills, and attitude. The Cardiff Law School has a Pro Bono Unit that participates in a variety of unique activities, including the Innocence Project. Law students participate in these activities and learn through experience. They are required to reflection from educators. In addition, they receive a certificate of Personal and Professional Development. These activities are effective as they extend students’ employability. This paper clarifies how educators assess pro bono activities to extend knowledge, skills, and attitude.
