3・1節の周年報道における対日感情の検討 --1970年代の韓国社会を中心に--

Abstract

本稿は日韓関係が緊密化する1970年代における3・1節の周年報道を対象に、韓国にとって日本が重要な相手になることが対日反感の抑制と助長にどうつながるのかを検討した。先行研究はこの問題について主に韓国社会にとって日本が重要な位置を占めることによる抑制機能に研究関心を払ってきた。これに対して本稿は韓国にとって日本が経済や安保的に重要な存在になっても植民地時代の過去が発掘され続けて来た点に着目し、対日反感の抑制と助長が類似した言説構造の中で形成されてきたことを明らかにした。具体的には(1)1970年代における日韓関係の緊密化に伴い3・1節における「自主性」の再評価の中で対日反感が抑制された点、(2)その「自主性」の再評価が3・1抗日運動の歴史に依拠していたために逆説的に対日反感の助長にもつながった点を明らかにした。この結果は現在における日韓関係の近さと対日反感の共存問題を考える上で重要な示唆を与えよう。

This thesis considers how the rise and fall of the "Anti-Japanism" sentiment is linked to the increase and decrease of importance in the relationship between Japan and South Korea, targeting press concerning the anniversary of 3.1 Independence Movement Day, specifically during the 1970s. Previous studies had only discussed that the importance of the relationship between Japan and South Korea did serve to decrease the "Anti-Japanism" sentiment in South Korea. In contrast, this thesis focuses on the fact that the increase and decrease of the "Anti-Japanism" sentiment can be explained through the same discourse. Research results are as follows. (1)The "Anti-Japanism" sentiment decreased through the reinterpretation of "Autonomy" by the press concerning the anniversary of 3.1 as ties between Japan and South Korea grew closer. (2)However, paradoxically, the logic of reinterpretation of "Autonomy" intensified the "Anti-Japanism" sentiment due to the fact that it was dependent on the history of the Anti-Japanese movement. These research results are significant in considering how the closeness of the Japan-Korea relationship has been coexisting with the "Anti-Japanism" sentiment in South Korea in the present day.
