結婚情報誌における地方色の喪失 --「九州ゼクシィ」に着目して--

Abstract

本稿は雑誌『ゼクシィ』の九州版の歴史変遷を中心に、結婚情報誌における地方色の表し方と衰退の過程について検討するものである。「九州ゼクシィ」を分析した結果、創刊初期の誌面上では、地方の結婚事情の特色が読み取れた。たが、『ゼクシィ 首都圏』が表紙、目次、記事、付録という順に「九州ゼクシィ」の内容を同化していくうちに、誌上に表した地方色が徐々に消えていき、誌上で見られる結婚理想像も首都圏版とほぼ変わらないものになった。同時期、福岡発の地元誌『MELON』は地域特色に密着する誌面づくりをしていたが、最終的には廃刊に至った。『MELON』の対抗は、『ゼクシィ』による九州地方の結婚イメージの均質化を止めることはできなかった。

This paper focuses on the historical transition of the Kyushu version of the magazine "Zexy", and examines the way local colors are expressed in bridal magazines and the process of their disappearance. Analysis of "Kyushu Zexy" showed that the characteristics of local marriage issues could be read in the magazine at the beginning of the publication. However, as "Zexy"(the metropolitan area version) assimilated the contents of "Kyushu Zexy" in the order of cover, table of contents, articles and appendix, the local colors shown in the magazine gradually disappeared. The ideal marriage image described by "Kyushu Zexy" was almost the same as the metropolitan area version. At the same time, the local magazine "MELON" from Fukuoka was attempting to be a bridal magazine with contents based on Kyushu's regional characteristics, but it was eventually discontinued. The rivalry of "MELON" failed to stop the homogenization of the ideal marriage image in the Kyushu area by "Zexy".
