少女漫画におけるジェンダー規範の転換と女同士の絆 --『週刊少女フレンド』1963～1972年の分析から--

Abstract

少女漫画は一般に恋愛を描くものとされ、女子・女性同士の親密性が描かれることは少ない。本稿ではこの欠如を問題意識とし、1963~72 年の「週刊少女フレンド』における同性間の親密性の表象を調査し、少女漫画に異性愛が導入される過程において同性間の親密性がいかに扱われたかを検討した。同性間の親密性は旧来的な少女文化により価値づけられていたが、異性愛の称揚へという価値転換が進む中でその価値づけが失われ、ありふれたものとして描かれるようになった。やがて誌面に恋愛が定着した1970年前後には、同性間の親密性も異性愛規範のジェンダー秩序を反映し、周縁化・劣位化されることが多くなる。しかしその中でも、読者の共感を呼ぶ身近な友情、恋愛を通じた同性間の結びつき、異性愛規範と衝突しない設定の上での同性間の強固な親密性、「女性同性愛」の逸脱視の相対化など、異性愛規範と折り合いを付けながら同性間の親密性は描かれ続けていた。

Shōjo manga is generally considered to depict romance, but female same-sex intimacy is rarely depicted. This paper examines the representation of same-sex intimacy in Shōjo Friend from 1963 to 1972, and argues how same-sex intimacy was treated in the process of introducing heterosexuality into shōjo manga. Same-sex intimacy was valued by traditional shōjo culture, but as the value shifted toward the celebration of heterosexuality progressed, it lost its value and came to be depicted as hackneyed. Eventually, around 1970, when romance was firmly established in magazines, same-sex intimacy was often marginalized and subordinated, reflecting the gender order of heterosexual norms. However, even in this context, same-sex intimacy continued to be portrayed while coming to terms with heterosexual norms through familiar friendships that elicited sympathy from readers, same-sex bonds through romance, strong same-sex intimacy in settings that did not conflict with heterosexual norms, , and the relativization of the deviant view of “female homosexuality”.
