抄録: | This paper is an introduction to a dissertation for a Ph.D. in Educational Studies, Kyoto University, entitled "The Construction of the Integrated Clinical Theory on Menschen-bildung". The dissertation is designed for the reconstruction and recovery of the theory of education. As the theory was originally derived from educators' self-reflections on their own activities, so it was practical, self-reflective and self-involved. However, developed as an academic discipline and founded chairs in various insitutions, the theory of education has gradually lost such original traits as of practice and of self-reflectivity. Now it should recover the alienation from its original traits in order to cope with the practical difficulties in our complicated educational situations. The recovery can be done especially through the practical research on the university education, such as the researchers' self-reflection on their own educational activities. So the construction of the integrated clinical theory of Menschen-bildung as the reconstruction of the theory of education can be accomplished through the researches such as the projects of Research Center for Higher Education, Kyoto University. |
