Abstract

This is a report on the "Open Class" which has been held at Wakayama University as an FD project. This project is open to those who are concerned with higher education, and a discussion session is held after every class. This "Open class" gives lecturers and observers the chance to develop their interest in higher education together. This project has been held with reference to the "Open Laboratory Class" at Kyoto University Research Center for Higher Education. Though FD forums and the student evaluations of instructors have been held at Wakayama University, the author considers the "Open Class" as the most effective FD activity for the sake of the promotion of FD.
