抄録: | This study investigated the significance of studying major subjects in identity development for university students. It was found that the value of studying major subjects for university students was determined by (1) how much students were involved in it, and (2) how usable it was in order to get a job. From the perspective of students' identity development, following results were reached : (1) The identity formation process toward a professional occupation was facilitated especially among those who didn't have preconceived notions about psychology, and (2) studying major subjects had meaning as a role experience for those who mainly wanted to secure a professional occupation. |
