抄録: | Now, faculty development activities are being conducted at various universities, but it's rare to publish handbooks on tips or hints for improving lectures. In this regard, the Kyoiku Ekuserensu Shien Center (a center in support of excellent education) at Kyoto Sangyo University created a handbook titled "Jugyo Kaizen no Hinto (Hints to Improve Your Lectures)" in January this year. Many difficulties and devices were experienced in the process of editing this handbook. As the first step, we conducted two questionnaires in autumn 2003 to find the devices used in the lectures. From the responses to the questionnaires, we chose positive examples to create the handobook. Based on these examples, we wrote manuscripts in conversational style. These works were very hard for us, because we had no experience in such an endeavor. The process of making the handobook had beneficial effects on each professors' faculty development performance before publishing. We would be happy to be of service to any university professor through our research. |
