過剰な攻撃性を表出する青年への援助について

Abstract

The purposes of this paper are 1) to comprehensively investigate the relationships among aggression, narcissism, self-esteem and family-image in adolescence and 2) to propose a way of supporting adolescents who have excessive aggression. Questionnaires assessing the strength of aggression, narcissistic personality, self-esteem, and family-image were anonymously completed by 1, 147 students. By analyzing their results, narcissism was positively correlated with aggression, while self-esteem was negatively correlated with aggression. In addition, self-esteem was positively linked to good family-image. These findings suggest ways of supporting aggressive adolescence: (1) it is important that they experience positive and warm relationships with others (for example, therapists or counselors) and (2) such relationships would make it possible for them to control their excessive aggression and to enhance their self-esteem.
