抄録: | The deja vu experience has been attributed to various concepts throughout the history of this phenomenon. This report reviews a relation between this phenomenon and the psychological thinking. The deja vu experience was associated with parapsychological concepts until the late 19th century, such as telepathy, reincarnation, and pre-existence. After this period, however, the experience was interpreted as a rational problem arising from the development of scientific thinking. It has been agreed that the deja vu experience is a disorder of memory by cognitive psychologists, a disturbance of brain waves in epilepsy by brain researchers, depersonalization or psychosis by psychiatrists and psychopathologists, and extrasensory perception by parapsychologists. It is proposed that the deja vu experiences associated with abnormal brain waves and psychosis are different from the general deja vu experience. Recently, deja vu researchers have tried to promote the study of quantitative and qualitative aspects. They expect to find a new concept to explain the deja vu experience. |
