抄録: | In the past three decades, many researchers have investigated mindreading development. However, traditional mindreading tasks are not suitable for post-primary-school children. Therefore, many mindreading studies have focused on early development. Director Task, which is a new mindreading task, was developed in the 2000s. This task can be used for post-primary-school children. According to researches mindreading development of post-primary-school children, even some adults who passed traditional mindreading tests have difficulty in mindreading when they are required to use online communication. Moreover, the developmental trajectory of mindreading is different from that of executive functions. Director Task is also used for research on cultural difference and difference between typical people and people with developmental disorders. One of the latest studies using Director Task explores communication between people with normal perception and those with unique perception. This article reviews empirical researches using the Director Task in many ways, discusses relevant issues, and suggests directions for future research. |
