<研究ノート>NASADのアクレディテーションシステムの特色 --わが国の認証評価制度改善への示唆--

Abstract

本稿の目的は、National Association of Schools of Art and Design(NASAD)におけるアクレディテーションシステムの特色を考察し、わが国の認証評価制度改善への示唆を導くことにある。本稿では、第1に近年のわが国の大学を取り巻く環境を概観し、第2にNASADのアクレディテーションシステムに関する先行研究をレビューする。そして、第3にNASADにおけるアクレディテーションシステムの特色を分析し、特にNASADのコンピテンシー・ベースの評価基準、選択可能なセルフスタディ方式、及び機関別と分野別のジョイント・エバリュエーション手法に焦点を当てて考察する。最後に上記の考察を踏まえて、将来のわが国の認証評価制度改善の方向性を提示する。

The purpose of this study is to consider the characteristics of the accreditation system in the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) so that each university related to the field of art and design education in Japan will be able to assure and improve the quality of its educational and research activities. First, an outline of the recent developments relevant to the field of art and design education at Japanese universities is provided, and second, previous research related to the NASAD accreditation system is surveyed in this paper. Third, the features of the NASAD accreditation system are analyzed, focusing on the following three topics: competency based standards, selectable self-study, and joint evaluations of the NASAD. Finally, based on the above considerations, future directions for improving the Certified Evaluation and Accreditation System in Japan are proposed.
