抄録: | This paper discusses what gene symbolizes through the examination of the psychological process and the clients' narrative in genetic counseling cases. The connection between the Gene archetype and "the death drive" by Freud, S., revealed that the repetition of the biological self-reproduction leads to self-creation in both the physical and psychological processes. Psychological process as a result of the repeated activity of body would be treated in clinical psychology. As the Gene archetype takes the form of DNA that is understood as the biological language, the discovery of DNA means the incarnation of language and the biological history that appears on DNA is the contemporary myth written in human bodies. However, the difference between the narrative of DNA and that of human, even though DNA is compared to language, makes it possible to interpret the myth of DNA and to communicate with DNA through the narrative in genetic counseling. Owing to the lack of the story of "the beyond" in the myth of DNA, "the beyond" could be the originality of psychology distinguished from biology and sociology. |
